WHAT IS COACHING EXACTLY?

Coaching is a transformative process that focuses on making progress in the 'here and now'.

It involves really getting to the root of your issue, identifying any obstacles that keep cropping up, helping you get motivated to change and come to your own answer and decisions.

One of the major benefits of coaching is to have someone who actively listens and has no agenda or opinions on what you 'should' or 'should not' do - my only goal is to help you get what YOU want. 

CAN YOU EXPLAIN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COACHING, COUNSELLING AND MENTORING?

Coaching, counselling and mentoring are all focused on helping their clients. In a nutshell:

Counselling focuses on getting to the root of issues by looking to the past for answers and insights. 

Mentoring is when someone with experience and seniority in that area advises and gives informal guidance with a view to the future. 

Coaching is focused on the present, bringing a sense of perspective and the sole goal is to help their clients achieve their goals and make progress.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM WORKING WITH YOU?

Our first session will be spent on getting to know each other and understanding your current situation and your goals. My role as your coach is then to build out a plan for our remaining sessions to help you close the gap between where you are now and where you want to be. I will also incorporate the right tools and techniques where appropriate including NLP, visualization and hypnosis. 

 

Session details:

Most of the programmes detailed on my Services page are between 8 to 10 sessions to enable us to really transform.

Sessions will be held virtually on a weekly basis via Zoom/Skype or Teams depending on which technology you are most comfortable with! 

Sessions are approximately 60 mins each and all sessions and their content are strictly confidential. 

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY PROBLEM IS "SERIOUS" ENOUGH TO WARRANT COACHING?

Quick answer: you've obviously looked at my page and investigating coaching for a reason! If an area of your life is bothering you (and has been for some time) it's likely worth a conversation. 

Contrary to belief, coaching is NOT self-indulgent - it's getting professional help with an ongoing issue(s) to make progress.

WHAT ARE YOUR QUALIFICATIONS?

I am a qualified Human Resources professional with a Master's in Human Resources Management (Commendation) and I am an Accredited Elite Life Coach, Level 5 by the IAPC&M (International Authority for Professional Coaching and Mentoring). 

I am also a certified Mental Health First Aider by MHFAE (Mental Health First Aid England).
